According to The Coalition to Prevent Sports Eye Injuries, about 42,000 of these injuries require a trip to the emergency room. What’s even more alarming is that the National Health Interview Survey conducted in 2002 revealed that over 84% of children don’t wear protective eyewear in situations that hold a risk of eye injury. That’s not just alarming, but unacceptable.
