Voting Begins for The Most Beautiful Eyes Contest

Voting has begun today for The Most Beautiful Eyes Contest! It is easy to cast your vote for the child that you think has the most beautiful eyes. There have been hundreds of submissions, and of course each and every child has beautiful eyes! However, the winners have to be narrowed down somehow – so go ahead and vote for your favorite.

Voting will take place the entire month of August.  Winners will be selected from each state based on popular voting. During the next phase of the contest, judges will select the grand prize winner from the state finalists. The winner will receive a $10,000 education scholarship. In addition, the winner and their family will be treated to a trip to Chicago to attend the Prevent Blindness America Annual Awards Banquet on Friday, Nov. 2, 2012, where the $10,000 college scholarship will be officially awarded.

The contest is sponsored by Prevent Blindness America and is designed to help build awareness of the importance of eye health and safety. According to Hugh R. Parry, Prevent Blindness America president and CEO, “The goal of the contest is to get parents thinking about the importance of their children’s healthy vision, and we hope that by participating, parents will continue to make eye health a priority.”

Real Kids Shades is truly passionate about Prevent Blindness America and their goals for this Facebook contest. As part of our ongoing support for the organization, we are participating as one of the sponsors of the event. We even awarded the first 50 entrants with a free pair of RKS sunglasses!
